Mickey: Adventures on Wheels and Scuderia TELMEX join together through ‘Drivers for Road Safety’

Under the most important motorsport event of our country, which will take place next October 29th, Mickey: Adventures on Wheels will bring closer the little ones to the incredible world of racing in a live experience outside the Disney Junior screen. The beloved character Mickey Mouse in the company of the renowned pilots that are part of Scuderia Telmex, which celebrates its 15th anniversary, will be responsible for raising awareness among children and their parents about the importance of following the road signs, through the campaign ‘Drivers for Road Safety’ with a touch of fun and humor for young and future drivers.

Stars of motorsports in Mexico and Latin America, such as Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez, Memo Rojas, Tatiana Calderon and Pietro Fittipaldi, along with Mickey Mouse —the protagonist of this fun animated car racing series— will be in charge of carrying these messages through 6 videos that will be broadcast on the fan page of Disney Junior Latin America and Disney channel Latin America in Facebook from October 16th 2017, as well in both channels.

As part of this great celebration, the Mexican artist ‘Cocolvú’ was asked to intervene a series of helmets, which shows in drawings the most important details of the racing careers of each of the drivers involved in the program, in a very funny and especial way to capture the memory of this great event.

Released on May 8th 2017 by Disney Junior, Mickey: Adventures on Wheels animated series follow the adventures of the beloved mouse in his role as test pilot and chief engineer in the Hot Dog Hills. Since then, in company of Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto, it brings to the households of Latin America fun adventures along with important messages, such as teamwork and the importance of friendly competition.

Scuderia Telmex is a prestigious Mexican project for motorsports pilots’ development, which program aims to guide the Latin American and Mexican sport talent to the most renowned categories around the world. Featured names like Sergio Pérez in Formula 1, Daniel Suarez in NASCAR Cup, and Memo Rojas in Prototypes are just a few of those who play in the team and who have growth in the sport and personally. Scuderia Telmex began operations in February 2002, and by September 30th 2017 has recorded 400 wins, 55 championships and 25 runners-up.

‘Drivers for Road Safety’ is an initiative that adds the efforts of the Federal Government through the Ministry of Health, the Automobile Federation (FIA) Mexico, the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the Center for Experimentation and Road Safety (CESVI) Mexico, Mexican Red Cross, Carlos Slim Foundation and Scuderia Telmex, as well as other public and private institutions, aiming to create a road culture that allows saving thousands of lives.

Through the campaign ‘Drivers for Road Safety’ Mexican and Latin American professional pilots promote an ethic and preventive road culture among youth and society in general to be responsible drivers, pedestrians and passengers.
