200 Certifications Awarded to Graduates of ‘Get Trained For Employment’ Platform

The Digital Library TELMEX – College of Morelia Infinitum, delivered in a ceremony 200 certificates to graduates of the program ‘Get Trained for Employment’ (Capacítate para el Empleo) of Carlos Slim Foundation.

The certificates were delivered to graduates of the following online courses: Web Assistant, Digital Content Developer, Web Image Manager, and Technician in installation and repair of computer equipment; as well as for the following diplomas: Technician in Computer Systems and Technician in Web Integrity, the latter two with official validity by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP).

Through the Digital Library – TELMEX College of Morelia Infinitum, Carlos Slim Foundation offers tools for the inhabitants of the capital of the State Michoacan, so they can learn and strengthen their skills in different professions and technical activities of different productive sectors. The objectives are improving the graduates’ chances of getting a better job or help them to start their own business.

Each semester, a call is issued in the facilities of the Digital Library to young people and adults for registering in some of the more than 100 courses offered at the Get Trained for Employment platform.

At the College of Morelia Infinitum, more than 1,232 users are enrolled in the Get Trained for Employment platform. In addition, access to the Aprende.org educational platform is provided that concentrates the most outstanding contents of the Foundation, such as: Get Trained for Employment, Master Innovator, Khan Academy in Spanish, Academic, Coursera, Udacity, MIT Open Course Ware and Clikisalud.

The TELMEX Digital Libraries of Carlos Slim Foundation are learning spaces in schools, public libraries, cultural houses and TELMEX Houses, among other public spaces of educational vocation. They are equipped with digital resources and tools to promote the inclusion of Information Technologies and Communication (ICT). In these spaces, there is free access to computer equipment, innovative educational accompaniment activities and mobile WiFi Infinitum connection.

Carlos Slim Foundation’s ‘Get Trained for Employment’ is a program that offers online tools for all those who wish to train free of charge in various trades and technical-operative activities of different productive sectors, without the need of having previous experience.
