Within the framework of this program, an internet portal <a href=\"http:\/\/accesolatino.org\/\">(accesolatino.org)<\/a> makes available to the Latino community information and tools free of charge to empower latinos to close the achievement gap.<\/li>\n<li><strong>ArizonaOn<\/strong>, an initiative to provide low cost internet services to low income families in the nation. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Carlos Slim Foundation<\/strong> and other winners of the <strong>Binational Award<\/strong> were honored on the Noche de Exitos Gala and Bi-National Awards that was held on Saturday, October 17th at the <strong>Casino del Sol Resort.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Forbes magazine<\/strong> classifies <strong>Carlos Slim Foundation<\/strong> as the organization with more projects and programs in education, health, justice and personal and community development.<\/p>\n<p>The Foundation was established in 1986 with the mission to establish a range of non-lucrative projects in education, health, justice and personal and community development by contributing human and financial resources to equip Mexican society with the necessary tools to succeed professionally and socially.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> and its affiliated chambers in Sierra Vista, Douglas and Nogales were recognized as the <strong>National Hispanic Chamber in 2013<\/strong> and serve more than 1,200 member companies of the bilingual region. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the selection of the Carlos Slim Foundation as the 2015 Mexican Corporation of the Year.
