The\nCarlos Slim Foundation<\/strong> took part in the Binational Remittances and Financial Inclusion\nfor Migrants Forum<\/strong>, the aim of which was to establish open dialogue to\nconsolidate collaboration between the different instances involved in the\nsending of money to Mexico and in the investment, contribution and savings\nprograms in Mexico for Mexican migrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the\nround table titled \u201cInvestment and Development of Latin American\norganizations in the USA<\/strong>\u201d, the Carlos Slim Foundation<\/strong> considered\nthe role played by digital platforms such as accesoLatino.org<\/a><\/strong> in\nproviding tools and information to support migrants and their families in\npriority areas such as: citizenship, legal aid, employment and training,\neducation, and human rights, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose\nof the round table was to discuss investment and development as binational\npractices performed by Latin American migrant organizations to implement\nprojects in their communities of origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, in\nthe United States, there is a high demand from the Mexican migrant community\nfor access to financial inclusion tools and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aware of\nthe situation suffered by Latin American migrants in the United States, the\nCarlos Slim Foundation has created the Migrants program, which seeks to take\nits activities aimed at boosting productive development, education and the\nacquisition of skills to access better jobs to this community, which will allow\nthem greater social and citizen integration to improve their standard of\nliving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The forum\nincluded the participation of more than 70 experts and strategic allies in the\nfinancial inclusion of migrants in the USA, interested in collaborating with\nMexico in binational projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
