In order to promote coexistence among the residents of the Pensil neighborhood in Mexico City, the Historic Center of Mexico City Foundation<\/strong> organized a gathering to celebrate the close of 2018. <\/span><\/p>\n

Meeting at the facilities of the Polideportivo Pav\u00f3n, the residents of the Pensil neighborhood began arriving from 4:00 pm, to enjoy a series of amenities prepared by the Historic Center of Mexico City Foundation<\/strong>, the Pensil Entrepreneur Network<\/strong> and the team of Radio Bocina.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

During the gathering, attendees could purchase different products created by entrepreneurs from the neighborhood in free-of-charge Social Enterprise<\/strong> workshops, offered by the Historic Center of Mexico City Foundation<\/strong> in the neighborhood.<\/span><\/p>\n

Later, parents and their children worked as a team to decorate their Christmas card. They also wrote their wishes in a Christmas decoration, a paper star or sphere, which was then placed on the Christmas mural.<\/span><\/p>\n

The night of amenities ended with a traditional pi\u00f1ata and a glass of hot punch, both essential elements to close an afternoon of good wishes and healthy coexistence among the residents of the Pensil.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the Historic Center of Mexico City Foundation<\/strong>, this gathering is a way to continue strengthening ties with the community of the Pensil, with the objective of contributing to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Historic Center of Mexico City Foundation<\/strong> emerges as an essential complement to support the economic and social renaissance of this area. Its work has accomplished significant triumphs thanks to the constant work with the community and inter-institutional linkage.<\/span><\/p>\n

The establishment of strategic alliances and collaboration programs with public and private institutions has been fundamental to the success of this program. These institutions include Carlos Slim Foundation<\/strong>, TELMEX Foundation<\/strong>, the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and the <\/span>Claustro de Sor Juana<\/span><\/i> University, among others.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Historic Center of Mexico City Foundation<\/strong> considers that social, material and economic well-being is directly related to the human context in which it manifests.
