The first and second generations of the Online Diploma in Prevention of Violence and Strengthening of Citizen Security<\/strong>, developed by the Carlos Slim Foundation<\/strong> in partnership with the National School of Social Work of the National Autonomous University of Mexico<\/strong> (UNAM) and the Undersecretariat of Prevention and Citizen Participation of the Ministry of the Interior.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The implementation of the diploma course is carried out through a collaboration agreement with the Ministry of the Interior<\/strong>, through the Undersecretariat of Prevention and Citizen Participation and the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System \u2013 National Center for the Prevention of Crime and Citizen Participation<\/strong>, as part of the National Program of Professionalization for Public Servants<\/strong> for social prevention of violence and delinquency. This strategy seeks to strengthen the institutional capacities of the centres located in the different states of the country for social prevention of violence and their public servants.<\/p>\n

More than 1,105 public servants and 116 tutors of the 32 states of the country have graduated from this Diploma. The results achieved were obtained through partnerships established with the three levels of government, the United States Agency for International Development<\/strong> (USAID), the academic sector, the private initiative and civil society organizations, who have contributed significantly to the strengthening of citizen security in the localities of the country.<\/p>\n

On August 14, a diploma award ceremony was held at the Manuel S\u00e1nchez Rosado<\/em> <\/strong>Auditorium of the UNAM\u2019s National School of Social Work<\/strong>. The ceremony was headed by Ms. Christiane Hajj Aboumrad,<\/strong> Executive Director of the Prevention of Violence Program of Carlos Slim Foundation<\/strong>; MSc Leticia Cano Soriano, Director of the UNAM\u2019s National School of Social Work; Ms. Maria Araceli Rodr\u00edguez Gonz\u00e1lez, of UNAM Foundation; Doc. \u00c1lvaro Vizca\u00edno Zamora, Executive Secretary of the National Public Security System<\/strong> (SESNSP); MSc Indira Villega, from the United States Agency for International Development<\/strong> (USAID) and MSc Eduardo Leal Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, representative of the Undersecretariat of Prevention and Citizen Participation.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
